Refunds with Wix Bookings

I created a Wix Booking site for a client who does massage therapy. If a session is cancelled, does the payment made by the customer automatically get refunded to their card/Paypal, etc.?

I believe refunds would have to be processed by the payment gateway (PayPal, stripe). Unfortunately I don’t think it’s automatic, but please check with the gateway to see what their policies are or contact support for more info :slight_smile: Have a great weekend!

As far as I know, there is no refund for a booking that has been canceled. The payment processing for a refund needs to be done on the processor site back to the buyer.

When someone buys a paid plan, let’s say for booking 10 massage therapy sessions, they can then use the 10 credit they have. Every time they book a therapy session, their credit is been deducted until they run out of credit and need to get another paid plan.
If they cancel a booking, credit is going back to their account, but there is no money refund, it is just a credit refund.

@autumnleith If you a re looking for a refund processing on WIX, there was an interesting thread about this new feature, but it is not in Wix Booking, just the online store.

It’s really frustrating that refunds aren’t processed automatically! Where can I vote for this feature? Thanks

Unfortunately it’s not possible to get an automatic refund currently. We plan to allow it in the future but there is no timeline yet.
