I just started a new job at a traditional business company (Not a lot of tech savy people here) and they’re in need of a new website and tasked me to do it (myself or hire someone else online). I can understand basic coding but I have previously found WP website maintenance a hassle as I never put in enough time for the learning curve.
The business is a traditional manufacturer business that does B2B and not B2C (which means the website wouldn’t really need an e-commerce portion).
From what I see, I think this will be a static website that will have to put the following:
Catalog of the products we manufacture and a button for them to reach out to our sales team for more information
Basic Company information including showcasing our existing customer (basic static marketing stuff)
Website needs to be multilingual (Including English and Mandarin)
A news section to put our investors relation information to adhere to business laws
Customer in-take form so our sales team can reach out to them.
Some sort of SEO capability so our name get returned when people search our industry
Easy to maintain (as it seems like I will be the one doing it)
With those basic requirements, and I don’t foresee the needs to expand, should I try to do this on a website builder or would it still benefit from going to WP from the get go?

Wix makes all of these tasks very easy and simple to maintain. I think they’ll be your best bet.
If you really don’t know much about creating websites, then it will be much easier to start with a ready-made example. By the ready-made example, of course, I mean the website builder. On such builders, it is very easy to get a good layout or a blank, from which you can already start making your own website. You will still have to add your code and your details on the site. As long as you don’t try to add JavaScript animations, I don’t think you will have any problems! Although in my opinion, if your company really urgently needs a website, it is much easier to hire developers through services such as for example digiscorp . They will be able to do the work faster and possibly better. The website is the company’s page it is not worth saving on it!
