When did reCAPTCHA become mandatory on Wix Forms?

Hi, I noticed that my Wix contact forms now show reCAPTCHA to visitors. I didn’t enable this manually - it seems to have been added automatically.

When did Wix start requiring reCAPTCHA on all form submissions? Was there a recent update that enforced this?

I’m asking because forms that worked fine in late November 2025 are now showing captcha challenges.

The New Wix Forms don’t have a reCAPTCHA element, but will prompt the input when it detects that there may be bot/spam activity.

It shouldn’t be required on all submissions - unless you’ve recently begun making multiple, similar submissions, which might prompt it.
