I have just started a website rbarton012.wixsite.com/rbarton
I have added a few videos to test my knowledge.
One of the videos is a comedy sketch done by my wife and her friends.
I have added the mobile function.
The video plays fine on my mobile but shows up as a grey box on the editor and my computer if I try to load it into my browser?
this page
https://support.wix.com/en/article/20-april-2023-wix-video-widgets-do-not-show-on-editor-or-live-site-show-blank-transparent
Shows a possible reason for this but says ‘republish’ which I have done without any improvement?
Does anyone have any idea of a solution?
I don’t know where the video file to reloaded it is any longer so was hoping to download it back to my computer but it won’t do that?
All help would be appreciated.
Bob
Yes, It’s possible that the video format or encoding is not supported by the browser or computer you’re using to view the website. It could also be an issue with the video player widget or the website’s code.
You mentioned that you’ve already tried republishing the website, but it hasn’t solved the issue. In this case, you may want to try the following:
Check the video format: Ensure that the video format is compatible with the browsers and devices that you’re targeting. Common formats include MP4, AVI, and WMV.
Check the video encoding: Ensure that the video is encoded using a codec that is supported by the browsers and devices you’re targeting. Common codecs include H.264 and VP9.
Try a different video player: If the issue persists, try using a different video player widget or embedding the video directly into the page using HTML5 video.
Check for errors in the website’s code: Use the browser’s developer tools to check for any errors in the website’s code that might be causing the issue .
