This past week makes both a beginning and an end. We conclude the Studio in-person events from around the world and begin welcoming other freelancers and agencies to use Wix Studio.
I’ve had the pleasure of joining the final week in London, and I have to say, at the end of each day, I’ve left each venue feeling excited about everything you’ve all been discussing, the new businesses and ideas being formed, and the things you’re most excited to see coming to Studio.
We’ve also seen a lot of big things being shared this week, like the ability to manually migrate Wix Editor sites to the latest version, a new beta available for Partners, plus an insight into what’s next for Wix Studio.
So, as always, let’s dive into everything that’s happened this week in the Community Weekly Roundup.
Highlights (TL;DR)
- Celebrating the end of an incredible 7 weeks - as we come to the end of the Wix Studio in-person events, we celebrate all the awesome things we achieved.
- A new beta - AI text creator for SEO. Generate SEO title tags or meta description based on page content.
- Migrate Wix Editor sites to the latest version - you can now manually update your Wix Editor sites to the latest version.
Wix Studio News
In-person events
This week marked the end of the Studio in-person events, where more than 2,000 of you joined us in 12 cities globally to learn Wix Studio. You traveled far and wide (one of you flew from Geneva to Toronto!).
When you put Partners, freelancers, and agencies in a room together, something incredible happens. This week I witnessed many moments of this, such as the workshop where someone was confused about how to achieve something, so those sat around instinctively chipped in to assist, or the knowledge shared on how to manage a large upcoming project.
The one thing I think everyone leaving these events has felt is inspired. Over the next few weeks, I expect we’ll be seeing the results of that inspiration.
I did hear on multiple occasions that you want to meet together more often - “I work as a freelancer, and have enjoyed being surrounded by others like me. It helps me to realize that with the experiences and challenges I face, I am not the only one experiencing them”.
Well, luckily for you all, we have local community events starting up over the coming weeks and months for you all to do exactly that - meet together as a community in person.
Head on over to the Wix Studio Community Discord server to find your local community and when their next event is happening.
What’s next for Wix Studio
As we wrap up the last 7 weeks, we shared some insights into the awesome things we achieved together. Such as the thousands of sites you’ve created on the platform already, the events that have taken place and so much more.
We also took a moment to look to the future and share some of the things coming up and when they’re happening.
We outlined the plan for giving access to those who joined the waitlist, and when you’ll be able to migrate your Editor X sites to Wix Studio.
Go take a read over all the details here.
Studio Webinars
We’ve come to the end of our first run of Studio webinars (that’s right, stay tuned, because we’ll have more live webinars coming soon).
In the meantime, all the webinars from the past weeks are available on the Wix Studio Academy for you to watch on demand.

Beta - AI text creator for SEO
Earlier this week, we opened a beta to Partners - AI text creator for SEO. This beta allows you to use your page’s data to generate three optimized title tags or meta description suggestions for you to choose from.
This feature is currently in beta for English Partners, and can be accessed from the SEO Settings panel inside each of your installed Wix Apps, or in the “Edit by Page” section in the SEO Settings.
It would be awesome to hear your thoughts, and ideas in the AI for SEO tags category of the forum.
Offer a fast checkout with Google Pay
You can now add Google Pay as a payment method through Wix Payments to any client site on Wix Stores. This faster checkout flow lets customers purchase quickly—in just two clicks—and helps drive sales.
Some of the benefits:
- Reduce abandoned carts with a smooth checkout
- Provide secure online transactions with advanced authentication, e.g., Face ID
- Encourage more frequent sales by making purchasing easy
- Improve your customer satisfaction with a seamless checkout experience
You’ll find all the important details in this article.
Have you added it? Let me know what you think.
Migrate Wix Editor sites to the latest version
You can now manually update your Wix Editor sites to the latest version with access to sections to organize content, Quick Edit where you or your clients can edit site content separately from its design, and much more.
This update is exclusively for the Wix Editor and does not affect Wix Studio or Editor X.
To migrate your sites:
- Go to the site’s Editor
- From the top bar menu, select Site
- Select Update Editor
- Click Update Editor

And that brings us to the end of this weeks Roundup. From everyone who has been involved in the launch of Studio the last couple of months, we say a huge thank you for joining, taking part, and making this such an incredible time.
I have to say, while this does bring us to a sort of “end”, it’s just the beginning, and there are many incredible things coming that I know you’re going to love!
