Stuck with weird artifacts on Wix banner (pic)

Hi,

Both in Live website and in Preview mode, I see these weird shapes, as attached. It’s a half cut text box and a down arrow. Inside Editor, they disappear. Problem only in one page. I’ ve already went through Layers option in top left Tools button, nothing suspect found lurking in there… Your ideas please?

sorry for bumping, does anybody even know who should I ask for help?

Note that this forum is dedicated to Corvid. For questions regarding screen elements and layout, please contact Wix Customer Care , as they know best.

However, I’ll take a look. Please post the editor URL of your site. Only authorized Wix personnel can get access to your site in the editor. Please include the name of the page involved.

Thank you Yisrael.

@gemats And what is the Live URL?

Sorry, but I don’t see the problem. I tried this on both Chrome and Safari on a MacBook Pro.

If you need further details or clarification, I would recommend contacting Wix Customer Care .

Is it perhaps possible that one of your Lightboxes is open for some reason?

@yisrael-wix It was not the Lightbox unfortunately (I even deleted it, no luck). It’s strange that you don’t see the problem. It’s exactly like the screenshot I sent above. Broken elements inside the Wix advertising banner on top. Will contact Customer Care though. Thanks!

@gemats Perhaps a cache issue? Did you try incognito/private mode?

@yisrael-wix
I went through all official troubleshooting. Went incognito, cycled through for possible off-grid elements, cleared cache, flushed DNS, messed with my browser add-ons, even formatted my HD (#not).

Apparently, it was a corrupt (?) textbox. Rather, some corrupt artifacts on top of an otherwise functional textbox. Those artifacts could not be selected/deleted, etc. They were only moving along with the movement of the text-box (that’s why they occupied the space on the top of my page).

How did I find out? Well, I duplicated the erroneous page and started working from there, using the ancient, long-forgotten technique of repetitive Delete & Preview .

Eventually, once the whole element was sent to oblivion, the problem disappeared.

I’m leaving it here for possible future reference or/and reverse engineering.

@gemats You’re a rock star! Glad you got it sorted out.
