I had this exact question! Brett’s link is a bit past it. You can see the answer right at https://youtu.be/skDvAnH64Yo?t=1426
So, I have to use the CRM to reply to leads? Because if I don’t it still says “new” until I do so. Also, with the crm, my email doesn’t reflect unless I have gmail which I don’t. How can you guarantee me your email domain has a good reputation and won’t go to spam?
I still don’t see this in my Dashboard yet. But I have few questions, to make sure the leads won’t get expired by any mistak.
(01) I have an iCloud email use in my business which is already linked to my Wix account. So how can I connect it to the Wix inbox?
(02) Ones I send a message through the Wix inbox, can I also see it in the “Sent” folder in my iCloud mail app in my iMac?
(03) If I decided, then can I keep use only my iCloud mail app in my Apple devices without using the Wix inbox when contact my Wix clients? Are we allowed to do that in future as we have done so far?
(04) If yes, then will I be able to see the client’s email and the phone number in the lead’s details as it was before?
PS: “Automations“ for the Wix Marketplace is something very cool and that I have to consider.
- You cannot connect it to wix. Only GMail will connect.
- No; it works the other way around. You can send from your Icloud email and it will appear in your dashboard CRM.
- Yes; you can, and as I mentioned above it will be in the dashboard CRM.
- You will see all information the potential client provided; emails, phone#, etc.
@hello42115 Thank you!!
@chernolya This is a great suggestion. Thank you! We’re looking into the possibilities.
@chernolya This is on our product update list, but not our highest priority at the moment.
Has this been fully rolled out yet? I saw the marketplace as an option in my automations for about an hour and then it was gone… and haven’t seen it again since… it’s bee about 5 days.
Hi Krista!
It’s a gradual rollout, so you may not see those new features quite yet. Stay tuned ![]()
@scott If you’re talking specifically about Marketplace leads, we created a Contact in the CRM for all of your open Marketplace leads and projects. The only difference between these and new leads moving forward is that the old ones will not have the proxy email.
If you mean leads received outside the Marketplace, you can manually add leads as Contacts or import them in a batch.
@sheyla Thanks for your quick response! ![]()
You do not have to use the CRM to reply. You can reply using your normal email account. Emailing from external to the CRM will still add your correspondence with the client in the CRM. Hope this helps! ![]()
Thank you to the development team for all your hard work on this!
So - is there a way for us to set this up with tags so different types of leads get different automations? For instance a request for Written Content gets one canned email/automation, vs. a request for Web Design vs. a request for Development vs. Graphic Design, etc. I watched the video and read all the threads - sorry, I’m still a tad unclear… Or is it only possible to send our leads one generic automation now via Ascend? It also sounds like we can still continue grabbing the email as we always have and pasting it into our current system - but the only difference is the email isn’t their actual email address, but it will still reach them. If we respond to the lead for the very first time via our connected gmail account and not via Ascend, will it still register as responded to within the Marketplace? Sorry for all the questions! ![]()
Hi Lynn!
If you respond via your own inbox with the email provided, it will still sync with Ascend and register as responded to.
Regarding your other question about individual labels and corresponding automations, I’ll check in with the team and get back to you. ![]()
Perfect, Sheyla! Thanks for your super-speedy response!! ![]()

I use the Workflow Cards and Automations to contact my leads with a customized email. Can I still do it with the proxy emails? Will I need to contact all leads via the inbox also to change the status to “Contacted”? Can you add an “assign a workflow” link to the inbox? Thanks!
Trying to create an automated email @brett for the new CRM and add a dynamic value in the body of my response to a new lead and there is no list to select from.
You cannot add dynamic values to the automated response right now. You can, however, add dynamic fields to email marketing (mass mail). It’s a feature request right now.
