@pamela do you have any updates about this? Or should we start looking for external solutions…
Hey @loeiks!
We shared a little updated regarding Wix Forms quota changes for Partners and Studio Creators, and have also looped back on the conversation around data and Velo on the Studio plans - Wix Forms quota change, and data & Velo in the Wix Studio Premium plans
Perfect,
I hope that the answer will be brought as soon as possible, because in the contrary case we will have to turn to other solution…
It’s nice but Wix Forms and Data Platform or Developer Tools are different, I hope Wix won’t ignore this problem.
Hi all! Anyone hearing any updates on the CMS and premium plan issues?
Great one indeed!
i hope wix will change some of those limitations!
@noahlovell It’s been 3 weeks since my last check in on this subject, so I’m going to bump it again. I realise this might be a little annoying for you, but this is a pretty serious subject for partners like us that have invested a lot of resources into this platform.
Yes, I saw the update about changes to Wix Forms. That’s irrelevant. Experienced developers are not using Wix Forms for data driven sites. The CMS limits are still a major issue that we’re going to keep asking to have reverted back to what was, a perfectly good system for years.
I’m not even an experienced developer and this is going to affect me. I need to know before I continue to build my personal project here or switch to bubble.io. Been waiting for an update. I can’t scale my business with these limits and can’t afford to pay $160 a month to get what we already had.
We had better limits on some point than 160$ plan. 160$ plan has 100K row item limit which will be around 1gb max for most users. And we had 10GB limit before…
We didn’t have any monthly data request limit…
Any updates on this?
I don’t think so just start looking for external solutions. They don’t even give any time about when they will come up with a solution. Instead we don’t even know if they will decide to change something about these updates…
Hi, im now 6 years on WIX and shocked to see a large company like WIX making such significant changes to its limitations for customers who have been building their businesses and websites for years. This decision is devastating for many businesses, and it has left me in utter disbelief. My project, which I have been working on for six years, was thriving before this change came about. Now, I might have no choice but to declare my company insolvent because WIX believes it’s acceptable to alter their plans every few months. It’s simply impossible to adapt to such constant upheaval.
WIX has built a reputation as a user-friendly platform for entrepreneurs and small business owners. It offered a range of plans and features that allowed people like me to create and maintain their websites efficiently. However, these sudden limitations are wreaking havoc on established businesses. We had invested time, money, and effort into building our online presence using WIX, only to find ourselves handicapped by arbitrary restrictions.
The lack of transparency in WIX’s decision-making process is deeply unsettling. Such abrupt changes can have a crippling effect on businesses that rely on a stable online presence. It’s not just about financial losses; it’s also about the trust that has been eroded between WIX and its loyal users.
I implore WIX to reconsider these changes and prioritize the businesses that have grown alongside their platform. We need consistency and reliability to thrive, not ever-shifting goalposts that threaten to destabilize everything we’ve worked so hard to achieve. This is a pivotal moment for WIX to regain the trust of its user base, or risk losing a significant portion of its customer community.
As I understand so far they won’t change anything. So just start looking for solution. If you want to stay in Wix you’ll need some changes/money to your projects. Or you can just stop using Wix and start building custom projects with cloud providers like Google Cloud etc.
@noahlovell I’ll let you read this, as you can see the fire is spreading, I think it’s high time WIX gave an answer and even an approximate date.
We’re not just talking about small projects here, but about people who base their business on your products because you promote their reliability and your service, which is open to all.
More and more rumors are circulating, and people are starting to write articles disparaging WIX and its associated services. The longer you wait, the more their rumors circulate.
So please give us a date for the release of the new pricing plan…
Hey @Lucas_dev
I hear you and understand how you are feeling. Myself and the rest of the community team are always reading the feedback being shared and ensuring the teams internally are also hearing it.
At the moment, I don’t have more information to share, and as I have promised in other topics over recent weeks, as soon as I have more to share I will do so. But since I don’t have more information, I can’t commit to anything.
I do get where you’re coming from, but I would appreciate it if we could tone back tagging across multiple topics. It makes it more difficult to follow up on conversations and to provide everyone with the information they need.
As always, I will pass this along to the team.
Thank you for your feedback, it’s not for nothing that you’re tagged, you’re not responsible for our worries with the change of WIX on the other hand you make them report the problems hence the importance of tagging you on the topics that need to be reported and that are related to this topic.
Some of us base our work on WIX and WIX rate plans indirectly!
A huge mistake has been made by WIX in attacking the developer and until this is corrected or we have more information we will continue to ask for more information as this is our business and for some our livelihood…
I work as a developer with a support team, so I know a little about how things work, and I also know that there are deadlines to be met. Even if you don’t have access to them, you can ask for an estimated release date, or at least tell us what the update will be about, as there are bound to be specifications drawn up for this project…
We’re all patient, but as you know, we also have deadlines to meet. Some developers have already decided to leave WIX Studio because you don’t communicate on the fundamental subjects that are important to developers. We haven’t had any information for several months, except that something is being prepared, but what? But what? When? What’s coming?
We have lives, projects and above all money at stake… Don’t forget it !
More than twenty developers have shown their discontent even though WIX Studio was released a few weeks ago. Imagine for a second what will happen when everything is directed to this platform. How do you think developers who don’t yet know about the new pricing plans will react, and how will developers’ customers react to the new plans? They’ll look for information, they’ll look at other platforms…
In short, please, for the sake of the platform’s developers, try to get informed, because I know very well that WIX (not you) has information, even in part, about this future update…
It’s annoying that someone said that they working on the final plan but it never happened. I’m honestly happy this happened since I’m not a developer and need to be on a no code platform instead of trying to learn code. The new limits forced me to go ahead and switch to Bubble for my personal project. They also recently changed their plans for the worse but at least I can build what I need without code.
This is what we have to live with since we are relying on these platforms to build out our web apps. and it’s unfortunate that these companies do not let you export your code for when they do things like this. I get it, they’re gonna do what’s best for them to make money.
I agree, we rely on these platforms to develop, but they need us to develop, and right now developers are giving WIX a bad name, and until there’s a solution, I personally won’t give up.
They’ve changed the rates without warning and that’s totally shameful, and beyond that they’re damaging their own reputation, they’ve introduced limits for the data system that prevent the development of large projects, globally it’s better to limit yourself to a simple showcase site on WIX Studio, otherwise you’ll be billed more than $170.
And on top of all that, when you ask them if they’re planning to change their pricing plans, they say yes, but they don’t give any dates or information, even though some of our projects are based on WIX Studio and need stability!
100%, but these companies don’t care about us at the end of the day. If a lot of us abandoned them they would make the change quickly. But I gave up, again I’m not a developer and I stuck it out with wix because there wasn’t many limitations compared to me going over to a no code platform, wix had me really trying to learn code lol but even if they change the limits the limits are still gonna be worse than they were before at the end of the day and for me, I would rather just learn a new no code platform so I can create faster.
I’ll still use wix studio for my landing pages and blog until my editor x plan is up then convert to framer and build my web app on bubble. Wanted to stay on 1 platform but it is what it is.
I understand and I’m going to take a look at Buddle because it looks really interesting! Hopefully WIX will make the necessary changes before I find something better…
