Hello everyone,
First of all, Feel free to give your opinion on what you think of this change to keep this topic alive.
As you may know, WIX has introduced new limitations with its WIX Studio editors. These limitations are aimed directly at developers and web agencies, as they are intended to limit the launch of advanced and complex projects on WIX Studio. And beyond that, the new limitations pose problems of database slowdown, which will cause database response errors linked to index limitation, security vulnerabilities linked to secret reduction and arbitrary monthly limits, evolution problems for large-scale sites…
As a developer, we reported the problem, and below is a link to the article that summarizes some of WIX’s absurd and illogical new limits. Beyond this change, WIX thought it wise not to notify developers of these changes… So we found out for ourselves… They changed their pricing plans without any announcement (trying to make us swallow the pill discreetly)…
These limits are ridiculous, because the goal of WIX Studio is to open up to web agencies and freelancers to offer more possibilities for large projects, but on the other hand the pricing plans limit the development of complex projects, who thought of this wonderful idea in the WIX team… Not to mention the fact that when you make a request to the sales department for a custom pricing plan, you get no response…
To date, WIX says it’s working on a few things to change the pricing plans, but despite our various reminders, WIX refuses to inform us of its future update. Unfortunately, they don’t take into consideration that some of us base a large part of our work on the CMS, and therefore a large part of our income and projects.
Today, WIX is gradually losing the confidence of its developers! But that doesn’t seem to worry them.
If you’re a developer, WIX Studio isn’t for you at the moment. Until WIX changes its pricing plans for WIX Studio, we won’t be able to work with this platform as a developer, and so it has no interest in existing, given that it’s aimed at web agencies according to WIX’s own terms - see the paradox of this platform!
The other paradox is that I find myself obliged to write this article to try to get WIX to agree to communicate on its future action plan so that I can get organized in my projects and my fellow developers can have a clear answer to a simple question:
Do we need to change publishers for our projects, or will WIX make sure that its pricing plan evolves to allow developers to work and bring new customers to the platform?
The article below has achieved 1300 views, the fire is spreading, the longer WIX waits the more developers and potential customers they will lose…
